Welcome to Two Rhodes Art Studio
Art that finds beauty where others stop looking. Created from fragments and materials that have already lived a life.

Art that finds beauty where others stop looking. Created from fragments and materials that have already lived a life.

Founded by mixed media artist Naomi Maynard, Two Rhodes is more than just a studio; it’s a promise. A promise to live life with purpose.
Every artwork begins with something that has already lived a life.
A weathered coffee container.
A forgotten piece of handmade paper.
A vintage frame.
A clothing tag.
A hotel napkin.
A fragment that many would overlook.
Through layers of paint, printmaking, collage, and found materials, these fragments are gathered and transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art. Their history isn’t hidden; it’s celebrated. Every mark, texture, and layer becomes part of the story.
It’s the same way Naomi moves through the world.
Seeing beauty in unexpected places.
Seeing possibility in what has been discarded.
Seeing stories waiting to be told.
Inspired by her two beloved Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Mystic and Ryder, whose energy and love fill her home, this online and home studio celebrates the spirit of taking the road—or Rhodes—that light you up and make you happy.

Naomi Maynard is the mixed media artist and founder of Two Rhodes Art Studio, where every piece begins with a simple belief: beauty is often found exactly where we least expect it.
Working with layers of acrylic paint, handmade painted papers, vintage textiles, weathered packaging, found objects, and reclaimed materials, Naomi creates one-of-a-kind pieces that celebrate transformation, connection, and the quiet stories carried within everyday things. Coffee containers, clothing tags, hotel napkins, dried paint, antique frames, and forgotten fragments are thoughtfully gathered and woven together—not to hide their history, but to honor it.
Her work is inspired by a lifelong way of seeing.
Since childhood, Naomi has been drawn to the people and places that others often overlook. She has always seen beauty in what is worn, weathered, imperfect, or quietly waiting to be noticed. That perspective extends beyond the materials she chooses; it shapes the heart of her work and her belief that every person has inherent worth, every story deserves to be seen, and nothing meaningful is ever truly discarded.
Having spent more than a decade living in Bermuda, the rhythm of island life continues to influence her creative practice. The movement of the sea, weathered coastlines, sun-faded colors, and the freedom found near the water are woven throughout her collections. Her artwork reflects a life enriched by travel, meaningful friendships, and a deep appreciation for gathering around a table to share stories, laughter, and connection.
Each collection begins intuitively. Rather than forcing an outcome, Naomi allows color, texture, and unexpected materials to reveal what they want to become. Vintage swimsuits, floating fish, island botanicals, and abstract forms emerge organically from the process, becoming visual reminders that beauty often exists within life’s layered and imperfect moments.
Through Two Rhodes Art Studio, Naomi hopes to invite collectors to slow down, look closer, and experience the world with fresh eyes. Every artwork is an invitation to rediscover beauty in the overlooked, celebrate the extraordinary hidden within the ordinary, and remember that our most meaningful stories are often shaped by the fragments we choose to carry forward.
